Gun, Germs, and Steel! (continued)

Today we had West Civ. first and Veronica brought the class muchkins which was great because I didn't eat breakfast this morning. After having a little treat we started to continue the video we watched on Friday called, "Gun , Germ, and Steel!". Mr. Schick had us take notes on the video:

-In the village Draa they uncovered remains of the first and earliest permanent settlements
-The settlers made the first granary where food was stored
-They discovered plant cultivation domestication unconsciously
-Middle East grew wheat and barley 
-China was next in growing rice
-North and South America was then growing corn, squash, and beans
-Africa was growing sorghum, millins, and yams   
-Goats and sheeps were the first animals to be domesticated
-Geographic Luck- You either win the lottery or lose with were your location is
-Carnivores are not good animals to domesticate
-14 species have been successfully breed and domesticated
-Goats, sheep, pigs, cows, horses, donkeys, bactrian camels, arabian camels, water buffalo, llamas, reindeer, yaks, mithan, ball cattle
-South America is the ancestor for llamas
